MAN INJURED IN CLASH BETWEEN POTTERS HOUSE AND PROTESTERS
- Fellowship thugs chase down ex members in dramatic scene near London church.

A man was injured last sunday and another assaulted as a dramatic
street chase ensues through the streets of east London last sunday.
The violent altercation came as two protesters were putting up placards questioning the salary of Walthamstow pastor Nigel Brown. The incident started when the Potters House minister spotted one of the placards and pulled up in his car next to one of the protesters who had his face covered to protect his identity for fear of reprisals. Brown screamed abuse at him threeatening him with the words 'NO WONDER YOU COVERED YOUR FACE YOU LITTLE PSYCHO!' before driving off in the direction of the church to get reinforcements.
As the two protesters were leaving the vicinity a white car raced up and swerved dramatically acorss the road to cut them off. Upon stopping abruptly 4 men jumped out of the vehicle including a man identified as assistant pastor Jimmy Robinson. Robinson suddenly lunged at one of the departing protesters who managed to dodge the angry preacher before running down the street with Robinson and possibly others in pursuit of him.
The protester, who wishes not to be identified, said "I was very frightened. I thought this is it. They are going to give me a beating" The protester seeing another fellowship disciple approaching from another direction slipped and fell as he tried to escape his pursuers injuring himself in the process. An injury which later needed professional medical treatment.
The other protester upon being confronted by another of the men in the car ran off in the other direction up church hill road and upon being approached by another fellowship disciple in front of him tried to make his escape down west avenue where he later gave himself up. One of the churches ushers then assaulted him despite repeated pleas by the man for the usher to take his hands off him. The usher responded with the veiled threat 'stop struggling' and held him in what is recognised as a restraint technique which gives the user the easy opportunity to render the captive immobile by twisting his arm up behind his back if deemed necessary.
The captive was then surrounded by others including Robinson and after being released was handed back his belongings after they had searched his bag and removed several placards and a pile of leaflets.
The second protester said that he was unprepared for the level of violence used and was in a state of shock. One of the two activists has made enquiries with the police but have decided not to purpue the matter further as they may well have been in contravention of the law by putting up placards in the first place.
The astonishingly aggressive response and the veiled threat issues by Pastor Nigel Brown before sending a car of men after the protesters will surely stun people given that this is actually a church we are talking about. The actions of the Potters House and it's ministers will surely disturb all civilised and rational people. We at habakkuk2-4 applaud the protesters bravery in the face of threats, intimidation and violence. The two men are now making a good recovery from their ordeal.
