Kevin Foley on altar calls - Mens Rally Dec 2006 Mesa, Arizona

Kevin Foley believes that any church member that doesn’t answer altar calls is ‘messed up’.

Joe Campbell

“Without altar calls there will be no redemption”

Rick Martinez

In this aldio clip, Pastor Martines’ voice mysteriously changes. It sounds terrifying.

Wayman Michell

Pastor Mitchell says you aught to clean out your bank account and give away your car.

Wayman Michell

Pastor Wayman Mitchell trying to speak in tongues.

Wayman Michell

An excerpt from a sermon called ‘Saving Your Church’ by Wayman Mitchell.

Wayman Michell

After Mitchell rants about discipleship, he attempts to discredit Rick Ross (an outspoken critic of the The Door/Potters House).

Wayman Michell

“Preaching is a conversation with God”

Paul Stevens

Paul Stevens’ take on false doctrine

Nigel Brown

This is a very rare occurrence in the Potters House CFM. Surprisingly, Pastor Nigel Brown makes some very honest confessions about his church.

Jimmy Robinson

From the Pulpit, Jimmy Robinson creates an atmosphere of impending fear of the outside world. Robinson says ‘It’s scary out there!’ He tells his congregants they are all in danger and should all leave their seats to answer the altar call for their safety.

Mr Robinson tells his congregation over and over again to ‘get a hold of God’. This is loaded language. 'Loading the language" means that: "The group develops a jargon in many unique to itself, often non-understandable to outsiders. This jargon consists of numerous words and phrases which the members understand (or think they understand), but which really act to dull one's ability to engage in critical thinking. It is actually made up of thought-terminating clichés. [Dr. Robert J. Lifton, Thought Reform and the Psychology of Totalism, p. 429]

According to the Potters House, the way to ‘get a hold of God’ is through altar calls.

False Interpretation

The Potters House brings forth a false manifestation of the spiritual gifts. The hyperactive behaviour is implemented to insinuate a sense of power.

David Vicary

Is Mr Vicary right? (see Matthew 23:9)

Mike Mastin

Mike Mastin implies that attending church services twice a week is not good enough. He then has the audacity to say that the pastor is always right and church members should believe the pastor even if what he says seems off the wall.

Mike Mastin

Mike Mastin implies that a Christian can earn favour with God and become 'good enough' to maintain salvation and that salvation can be lost at any moment for not measuring up. He quotes Mark 10:22 out of its context. When reading the chapter, it is clear that when Jesus said ‘he that endureth to the end shall be saved,’ he was not speaking of salvation of the soul but of salvation from physical death for those who endure to the end their through persecution.

Brian Dougherty

Brian Dougherty upholds the unbiblical practice of altar calls.

Wayman Michell

According to Pastor Mitchell, people with quick tempers are usually into pornography.

Wayman Michell

Lord Wayman wants to talk about boobs again.

Wayman Michell

Wayman Mitchell makes another comment from the pulpit about boobs.

Wayman Michell

The famous "Boob" & "Mexican Boarder" sermon

Wayman Michell

Wayman describes being violated by a female singers appearance in the early 1970's & recalls the womans boobs 2004! What a pervert!

Wayman Michell

Wayman Mitchell blurts out jiberish... "Jesus says: %@#**&^"

Richard Tozar

Richard Tozar teaches it is a waste of time for a member of the Potter’s House to continue unless they believe that the Potter’s House is a move of God and that the VISION of the fellowship had been received directly from God via Wayman Mitchell and NOT from man. Tozar mentions flushing down the toilet the “crackpot” site.

Wayman Michell

Wayman Mitchell names Steve Schoner and Dave Divers as picketers of his church (notice mention of folly, insanity, rebellion and demon possession at the end??) and makes a point that their lives are wasted picketing the Potter’s House which is God’s work which has grown, exploded and expanded. Note Mitchell says he liked them to picket Thursday night because he would get a larger offering.

Richard Tozar

Richard Tozar names “crackpots” and “slam the door” as internet groups with no vision but focus on violation.

Brian Dougherty

A prominent CFM pastor Brian Dougherty contradicts Wayman Mitchell’s teaching that there is no such thing as unconditional love.

Wayman Michell

Wayman Mitchell containing 3 points – Attack on the structure of their church, there is no such thing as unconditional love in the bible and the apostle Paul saw the church as a military exercise.

Marty Carnigie

Marty Carngie criticizes Aretha Franklin for thanking the Lord on public radio.

Nigel Brown

A Potter’s House church in the UK left the fellowship in 2003. Nigel Brown here explains away accountability by using irrelevant, unrelated arguments.

Nigel Brown

Nigel Brown explains that ministry is not your choice. Can ministry in the Potter’s House be trusted to God?

David Vicary

David Vicary calls for radical supporters of the fellowship and endorses a hard attitude against those that won’t.

Paul Stevens

Paul Stephens explains that sheep need to be tightly protected. Question is, how far can this thinking go before it becomes a dictatorship or cultic?

Paul Stevens

One of the common criticisms against the Potter’s House is its too controlling. Instead of a Pastor placing emphasis on bible doctrine and pointing people to Christ they strongly enforce Potter’s House doctrines and submission the Pastor even if the Pastor is wrong.

This is Paul Stevens on how the Pastor guards (protects??) the sheep from anything the Potter’s House (or he) doesn’t agree with.

Wayman Michell

this sermon called saving your church. We were always told that we that Christians from other churches are the most dangerous because they can cause trouble. Anyhow this clip from Aussie conference in 2003 explains the thinking.

The real reason is people with no bible knowledge are easier to control for them.

Wayman Michell

This sermon called Power Failure was preached at the Aussie conference I’m not sure whether which year but it was between 1998 – 2001.

Unknown

The aim of the sermon I think focuses on rejecting ex-members, teaching rebellion, backsliding, demon possession. It is maybe the summary of all the worst dotrines I’ve heard over the years and it typifies just what Potter’s House members are being taught. It was preached in Ramsgate sometime around sept - dec 2005.

Anyhow this sermon I’ve broken into 3 parts pt1,pt2 and the alter call + prayer for the sick.

Part 1

Part 2

Part 3 - Includes the Alter Call

Suddenly, Rod McNeill goes completely mad. – Quote: “If you are not goanna receive salvation; I’ve had it with you! I’m goanna kill the lot of you! I’m goanna kill you! I’m goanna kill you!” After he speaks those words, he gets the congregation to cheer him on.

Ron Chisolm, Babbling

Cloned Speech

One of the characteristics of a cult is that the leadership is often emulated by its members to the point where they become as if were a carbon copy of the group leader. This may include personal appearance, mannerisms and modes of speech. New members are often induced to abandon former behaviour patterns and model their thoughts and behaviour after their appointed headship. This audio montage presents irrefutable proof that The Door/Potters House CFM falls under this very category.

Ernie over the top Toppin continues with his ‘drug preaching’. Is this kind of preaching godly?

Ernie Toppin hit

Ernie Toppin says whoever messes with him will go insane.

Artie Aragon – Private Prayer

Artie Aragon says private prayer is not a good idea and scoffs at those who pray in private. In so doing, he has contradicted what Jesus said in Matthew 6:6. “But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.”

Paul Booddy tries to defend an extra-biblical law concocted by Wayman Mitchell.

Richard Rubi leaving dated 14-05-02

Richard Rubi gives a small demonstration of how criticism from ex-members is never taken seriously and is automatically regarded as the result of bitterness on the part of the ex-member.

Rod McNeill on mocking others.

Rod McNeill boasts how that he likes to mock others.

David Vicory: – “We are not doing what
everybody ells is doing” “No one is
doing what we’re doing” “We’re not like everybody ells” Notice the exclusiveness that Mr Vicory claims. This is a very common characteristic within cults.

Wayman Michell Internet

Michell speaks against the internet and imply's that the any one who use the internet is playing with death.

This section highlights the lies and double standards used by the CFM leadership concerning media rules. Notice that they contradict them selves and each other.

Greg Mitchell TV

Greg Mitchell tells of how men in the Potters House try to remove them-selves from being considered as Bible-study leaders. He also compares owning a TV to fornication and getting drunk.

Television Wayman Mitchell Behind the Door Part 4

In 1988, channel 7 news reporter Sandy Rathbun interviewed the Potters House founder Wayman Mitchell and ran through some of the general allegations made against his churches, including the prohibition on having a television in the house. He denied all of them and brushed them off as lies. But other recordings tell a different story.

Here is a short audio recording of that interview with Wayman Mitchell, from Behind the Door, (Part 4 of a series of newscasts concerning CFM churches)

Wayman Mitchell tv dated 18-11-99

Wayman Mitchell implying it is a sin to have a television in the house.

Harold Warner TV 1988

In 1988, The Door church in Tucson Arizona was attacked on a television program called Geraldo Rivera.

The hypocrisy is Harold Warner and his fellow pastors watched the program while it was on.

A month later, Pastor of The Door church, (Harold Warner) appeared on another television program to respond to the allegations that were made against his church.

If they were consistent with their own media rules, they would not have decided to make an appearance on TV. Neither would they have watched Geraldo’s TV program.

Mr Mastin reinforces the ban on television.

Public Confessions.

A pastor will often ask if there is anyone in the congregation to stand to their feet and confess any particular sin that the pastor decides to bring up, or to confess if they had
any thoughts that conflict with the organization. Pastors within CFM know how to use fear and guilt to manipulate others. As a result, members within the congregation feel a compulsion to disclose things they
wouldn’t normally reveal. In fact, when you think about it, these men are somewhat like Catholic priests listening to a confessional, except that within the Potters House it is coercive and the entire congregation listens to the confession.

Bobbie Macado

Bobbie Macado makes the assumption that if somebody goes out to the bathroom while the pastor is preaching on repentance that it must be because they are actually trying to get away
from that kind of preaching and that they are living in rebellion.

Bobbie Macado sinners-row

Bobbie Macado has the silliest idea that the back row of seats in church is “sinner’s row”. Where did he get that from?

mitchell_weight

Wayman Mitchell ridicules people who are over weight.

Michell on healings.

Several people that have had pain from
operations go up to be healed by Wayman Mitchell. Mitchell assumes they have evil spirits inside their bodies. They are told that if they are to be healed, they need to make a positive confession wherein they must repeat word for word what the pastor speaks. They are told they must cast out fear, hatred, bitterness, and repent of unforgiveness. Mitchell tells them to speak deliverance and healing, and to say the words; “I break the curse of this infirmity.”
One individual, after going through the
confession, tells Mr Mitchell that the pain is still there. So then Mitchell asks; “If I asked you who upset you, who would come to your mind? Nobody made you mad?” One man tells Mr Mitchell he had an operation on his groin. So Mitchell tells him to put his hands over that area and speak his confession beginning with the words; “In the name of Jesus . . .”

Clip four

Recorded in 1994 and 1999 (in these clips they openly dissobey the God of the Bible by the crowed all speaking in tongues with no interpritor, all you hear is a spirit of bable.)

Here is what the bible says
: 1 Corinthians 14:2 -6 For he that speaketh in an [unknown] tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth [him]; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries. But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men [to] edification, and exhortation, and comfort. He that speaketh in an [unknown] tongue edifieth himself;
but he that prophesieth edifieth the church. I would that ye all spake with tongues, but rather that ye prophesied: for greater [is] he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying. Now, brethren, if I come unto you speaking with tongues, what shall I profit you, except I shall speak to you either by revelation, or by knowledge,
or by prophesying, or by doctrine?

Clap Offerings.

The clap offering is a common practice in the CFM. It is just a manmade tradition. There are many types of offerings spoken of in scripture
but there is not one verse anywhere in the Bible that even mentions a clap offering. There are three verses they misuse to support the clap offering. But these are in the context of making
music to the Lord. The clapping in those verses is a part of the music, not a round of applause.

Glen Cluck baptists

Glen Cluck – Quote: “And when we send you out, you by God better follow the pattern. And secondly, you better be Pentecostal. Baptists can preach.
I said Baptists can preach. But they don’t have the full gospel. All the revelation they have is Jesus the Lamb of God that takes away the sins of the world, but we have the full gospel, that’s Jesus saviour, Jesus healer, Jesus baptizer in the Holy Ghost, and Jesus soon coming king.”

Greg Mitchell job-quit

Greg Mitchell influences a man to quit his professional career as a narcotics detective.

Greg Mitchell leaving

According to Greg Mitchell, leaving their
church is backsliding. Anyone that leaves has opened the door to a demonic influence. Those who leave the CFM are rebels.
