Potters House on Halloween
Master of Puppets
by John
Aldham
On the night of Halloween 2005, the Potters House in Walthamstow of East
London hosted a Halloween show as a way to attract more people into their
cult organization. The name of this show was called MASTER OF PUPPETS. Having
seen the event advertised, I decided to attend and bring a camera in case
they would do anything that should be documented. Before I went, I was warned;
“Be very careful. These people are there to make money and if they
think you’re getting in the way; they can get physical, or even follow
you home. I’m not joking. You better watch your back when you walk
out of there coz you’re on your own and there are more of them than
you.”
Even before I got anywhere near the building I could feel there was something
very evil in that place and all the way through the event, a high adrenalin
kept rushing through my body because I could feel that I was under spiritual
attack by something inside that building.
When I got there, the queue of people waiting outside to get in was enormous! Before anyone could get in, they had to sign a form to say that you agree that you will not hold the Potters House accountable for any adverse effects this play could have on you. When I asked the doormen why I had to sign the form, they were very vague and said it only had to do with the strobe lights and smoke machines. On the form I noticed the words ‘Due to the graphic nature of this play’. As soon as I asked them what the ‘graphic nature’ of this play would be, they didn’t answer the question properly but were very evasive and made me rush with signing the form so that I wouldn’t have time to read it through and think about it. I had asked them if there would be any blood and they said “No, it isn’t really that graphic.” They said that once you go in, you can’t leave until it is finished. I was about to find out why.
As I moved with the queue into the large hall, I saw that the walls were black and the lights were switched off. It was very dark and lit with a few dim spotlights which beamed through the smoke. The place was almost full. During the middle of the show, as the sinister music played, several people entered the hall through the back door; all dressed in these black Ku Klux Klan style robes with hoods. They slowly walked down the aisle holding lanterns with a girl in front of them but she was dressed in white instead of black. When they reached the stage, they were lit with red spotlights and smoke while they faced the audience with the girl in the middle as part of the satanic ritual. She lay down on the altar and two of the men grabbed a cup from the altar and drank the blood. Then they all picked up knives and began stabbing her to death as a human sacrifice to the devil. Now of course, they didn’t actually kill her, they were acting. But still, it looked very real. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. Others in the show staged a suicide by hanging. There was also a man in the corner dressed as the Devil with a microphone. His voice had been distorted to sound like Darth Vader but more sinister. He told the audience where to look. Everyone looked round to the window at the back of the hall and through the window I saw a woman drenched in blood with her face and hands pressed against the window while screaming for help. There were other scenes that involved guns and the taking of drugs.
I had my camera and other equipment well hidden. I took photographs of what was going on but I had to make sure that I wasn’t seen doing this because the ushers would have done something about it. If they had snatched my camera and ripped out the film it wouldn’t have surprised me so I had to be very discreet when getting any equipment out during the performance. Even though it was dark in there, the ushers at the back were watching the visitors like a hawk and they were also dressed as Satanists.
At the end of the show they gained twenty new members on that night and another twenty new converts the next night. It was two nights in a row. Not long after, I had got the photographs developed but for some strange reason the negatives were blank or exposed. What ever happened to them is a mystery.
In light of what happened in the newscast of 1996 titled ‘The struggle for Courtney’s soul’ you may think that by now the Potters House would have thought twice about doing anything like this again, but unfortunately they have not.
No children under the age of fourteen were allowed to watch the show. So by their own admission what they were showing was inappropriate to children. Do you think Jesus Christ would support an outreach that is inappropriate to children? Jesus said in Mark chapter ten: Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein. And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them. (Mark 10:13-16)
Would a true Christian church dress as Satanists and perform a blood drinking ritual with knives and a human sacrifice to the devil? It is written in First Corinthians 10:21; Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils.
Would the Holy Spirit guide a church to elevate death and Halloween? In Ephesians 5:11 it is written; And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
