Relationship With Jesus.

A place to rest, a place to sleep, A place to laugh and sing, A place where I can talk with Jesus, To him, honour bring, A place where I can sit beside him, Gaze into his eyes, And see the love that shines so bright, Yet it is no surprise, Because he shed his blood for mankind, To free us from sin, Opened the Gates of Heaven wide, Invited us within, All that he asks, is we confess, Acknowledge him as Lord, Until our earthly lives are through, To live life by his word, For even though the years have passed, His Sacred Blood doth flow, Yet how many accept this gift ? How many really know ? How many have a place of peace, Where they can sit each day, And spend time with our Savour, Jesus, Where to him you pray, Where your relationship with him, Can really start to grow, Where only your heart talks with him, Where you feel his love flow, Where you can talk about your life, The things you do each day, And ask him to guide your footsteps, To help you on your way, So daily as you tread the path, That leads to heaven's Gate, You know that he will walk by your side, Not leave you to your fate, For every time you call his name, And pledge to him your love, With heart and soul, not just your voice, He answers from above, Within your place of peace you'll feel, The Holy Spirit flow, So spend that time with our Savour, Let love and faith now grow.
