Picture In My Heart.
I have a picture of you Lord, That's in a special file, It's locked away
within my eart, Where you forever smile, I keep it there for safety Lord,
To help me, lest I stray, To guard me from temptation Lord, Forever and
a day.
The picture that is in my heart, Is there for all to view, Just gaze into my eyes my friend, That's all you have to do, Then as you look, the light of God, That burns deep in my heart, Will shine through my eyes, into yours, And his picture impart.
What's that you say? You see nothing? Did I forget to tell? First you must open up your heart, So therein, he may dwell, Then as you see the Lamb of God, A file you can create, Within your heart, to keep it safe, That Satan can't negate.
So into your heart, through my eyes, His image, I impart, To help you grow within his light, And from him never part, And so, as you confess to him, Your sins he shall release, So you may walk within his grace, And feel your heart at peace.
So keep his picture in your heart, And don't let Satan in, Only our Lord can guard your soul, And keep you free from sin, But do not keep it to yourself, Let others see it too, So they may share your love of God, As their faith, they renew.
