| (Deut. 18:21,22) | If What a prophet proclaims in the name of the Lord does not take place or come true, that is a message the lord has not spoken. That prophet has spoken presumptuously. Do not be afraid of him. |
| (Matt 24v4,5) | Jesus answered: "Watch out that no-one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Christ,' and will deceive many." |
|
(vII.) |
And many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. ." |
| (v24.) | For false Christs and False prophets will appear and deceive many people. |
(Mark.13:5-6; 13:21-22. and Luke 21:8)
| (2 Cor. 4:3,4.) | Their minds are blinded from the truth by the god of this age. |
| (2 Cor. 2:4.) | Putting up with a different gospel or teaching or Christ. |
| (:13-15.) | Such men are false apostles, deceitful workers. |
| (Gal. 1:8,9.) | If we or an angel from heaven preach another gospel contrary to that which we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so I say again now, if any man is preaching a gospel to you than that which you have received, let him be accursed. |
| (Col.2:18.) | The worship of angels / false humility
|
(Col.2:8) Deceptive humility
See to it hat no one takes you captive through philosophy
and
empty deception, according to the tradition of men, according
to the elementary principles of the world rather than according
to Christ.
(2 Thess.2:3,4) Man of lawlessness.
Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless
the apostasy first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed the
son of destruction. Who opposes and exalts himself above
every so-called god or object of worship so that he takes his
seat in the temple of God displaying himself as being God.
(2 Thess.2:9) The works of Satan with signs and counterfeit
miracles.
That is, the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of
Satan with all the power and signs and false wonders.
(1 Tim.4:1-3.) Deceiving spirits.
But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will
fall away
paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons, by
means of hypocrisy of liars seared in their own conscience as with
a branding iron, men who forbid marriage and advocate abstaining
from foods, which God has created to be gratefully shared in by those
who believe and know the truth.
(2 Tim.3:13.) Evil men and impostors.
But evil men and impostors will proceed from bad to worse,
deceiving
and being deceived.
(2 Tim.4:3,4.) Gathering teachers to themselves.
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine
but
wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves
teachers in accordance to their own desires; and will turn their ears
away from the truth, and will turn a side to myths.
(2 Peter.2:1-3.) False prophets and teachers.
But false prophets also arose amongst the people just as
there will
also be false teachers amongst you, who will secretly introduce
destructive heresies, even 'denying the Master' who brought them,
bringing swift destruction upon themselves.
And many will follow their sensuality and because of them the way
of the truth will be maligned and in their greed they will exploit you
with false words; their judgment from long ago is not idle, and their
destruction is not asleep.
(1 John.4:1-3.) Test the spirits.
Beloved do not believe every sprit, but test the spirits
to see whether
they are from God; because many false prophets have gone out into
the world. By this you know the sprit of God: Jesus Christ has come
in the flesh is from God; and every spirit that does not confess Jesus
is not from God; and this is the spirit of antichrist, of which you have
heard is coming, and now it is already in the world.
These are a few of the warnings that people ignore.
