"What About J.John."

[1] J. John was invited by hope 08 to give a talk, partly co-organised by ecumenist Debra Green of Ivy Cottage.

[2] Acording to Philo Trust "J.John, a Greek-Cypriot by birth, lives in Chorleywood, Hertfordshire. He is married to Killy and they have 3 sons, Michael, Simeon and Benjamin. J.John became a Christian in 1975. J.John has been described as refreshing, humorous, passionate, earthy, accessible and dynamic.

Philo Trust gives us a small discription of J.John, Philo Trust makes J. John out to be likeable, as many have said, "he is such a nice man" but this does not give us much info on his background and what he teaches, then we ask what about J.John ?.

Apart from being a Greek-Cypriot [3] J.J is a honorary Canon in the Church of England, he recieved the title in Coventry Cathedral simply because of his Ten Commandment’s Series and ministry.

When we look deeper we find, acording to a Christian Store website, "J John is based at St Andrew's Chorleywood, working alongside their minister, Mark Stibbe." [4]

Who is Mark Stibbe
and what is going on at J. John's Church St. Andrew's Chorleywood.

[5] According to a report by Charismania.org.uk Mark Stibbe (above) is the vicar of St. Andrews, Chorleywood. He arrived in January 1997 succeeding David Pytches (a well known advocate of the so-called Toronto Blessing).

Stibbe was a vocal supporter of Todd Bentley and “the Florida revival” and visited Lakeland in May 2008. On return he began 'Fire Meetings' at St. Andrews in the expectation that a similar “outpouring” would occur in his church.

He also travelled to various locations including Dudley, West Midlands and Aylesbury, Bucks to herald an imminent revival. An account of the meeting in Aylesbury (by Tony Allen of Winslow Christian Fellowship)* includes the following:-

“Churches across the Vale of Aylesbury came together Monday evening (21st July 2008) at Southcourt Baptist Church*... Mark [Stibbe] is here to reveal what is going on, to share the news that Todd Bentley has prophesied revival in the UK and it’s coming soon”.

“Mark and his team take time to impart the blessing on everyone personally. It is my turn, Hazel is with me to my right side, the worship increases and there is the awesome power of God present. I have a hand laid on me, Mark says receive the fire, Mark blows on me and I am on my knees, and aware that Hazel has also fallen to the floor.”

This account is typical of a service at St. Andrews, Chorleywood. These begin with a lengthy period of hypnotic ‘worship’ music followed by exhortations that "The Holy Spirit is here in power, etc" and the laying on of hands by Mark Stibbe or a member of his team. Bizarre and unnatural manifestations frequently occur such as shaking violently, falling over or laughing hysterically. Similar manifestations are witnessed in Hinduism's Kundalini Yoga. Attendees enter an altered state of consciousness and are open to suggestion and demonic activity.

	Mark Stibbe is due to leave St. Andrews at the end of 2008 to start a new ministry based in Watford, Herts called The Father’s House Trust. This he claims will be a new reformation in the 'Father's love'. He leaves behind a church in which he tried to bring about a revival by using all kinds of fads and pseudo Christian new age
practices. These mainly emanated from the United States or Canada. Included were the alleged Brownsville ”revival”, gold teeth mysticism, The Purpose Driven Life, "prophetic" evangelism and the short lived Lakeland “outpouring”.

Sadly no revival has come to Chorleywood or anywhere else in the UK only declension and damage to the name of Lord Jesus Christ through spiritual deceptions associated with bizarre and unnatural behaviour.

[8] A report went out following J.John's recent e-mail to St John’ s – Hebburn, issue June/July 2007 J.John this states, A recent email from J. John commented on the work of Norman Vincent Peale. Norman was a pastor in New York, retiring in 1984. He is well known for his book “The Power of Positive thinking,” with tips on how to be the kind of person whom others enjoy being around.

Aparently J.John got inspiration from Peale's writings under the bannor of Hope 08, and we know were Peale's fruits come from, as Manley P. Hall 33o of the Scottish Rite states

"The degrees of initiation are but the degrees of the evolution of the God in man." (p. 190)

"As the Master Mason labours in accordance with his vows, he slowly weaves this spotless robe out of the transmuted energy of his efforts. p.90

When the Mason learns that the key to the warrior on the block is the proper application of the dynamo of living power, he has learned the mystery of his craft. The seething energies of Lucifer are in his hands and before he may step onwards and upwards he must prove his ability to properly apply (this) energy p. 48.” ("The Lost Keys of Freemasonry,")

There are lots of examples of high ranking masons praising Lucifer and singing from the same Hymn sheet. There are spiritual implications as to where J.John gets his inspiration from, why would any one want to seek guidance from books written by luciferians?

J.John "So it got me thinking. Strained relationships are a familiar part of life. We can all experience them. Such strains can invade church life and lead to niggles, hurts and even members leaving their church. Not a good sign when we are seeking to be a church family and community that share the good news of Jesus Christ with our parish."

This is simply "friendship evangelism", I had redefined "friendship evangelism" as "Love Evengelism," "A whole generation of “Christians” has been persuaded that it is not the
will of God to expose the false teachers of today who speak and teach a presumption of the word of God. They have truth mixed in with error. Love is seen as a concept where, regardless of whether a person is a Catholic, Moslem, Hindu, whatever, we should love them in a way that makes them feel comfortable with God. That we should not seek to confront sinners with the consequences of their sin. People are being taught not to preach concerning repentance of sin, to even play down the gravity of their situation, or that believers should not be concerned about error. In other words there is to be no distinction between truth and error, “Let God deal with it, we are to love them”. Thus the understanding of “Love” is very much a pretext for overlooking and/or acceptance of what the person does.

A lot of Christians today call for “inclusiveness”. Being “inclusive” means that we can accept, in our fellowship meetings, and meetings of spiritual leaders, people of other belief systems, (including practising Gay, Lesbian and Transgender people). “Inclusiveness” also has the view that
we don't need to take any separatist stance, “we need people to know that we are the new-evangelicals (the neo-evangelicals).”

Proselytizing has now become a goal rather than simply preaching and bearing witness to the truth of the Gospel and allowing the Holy Spirit to convict and lead the lost to Christ. The aim is to fill the empty seats in church buildings rather than have Christ fill the empty souls of the lost, to increase church attendance through entertainment, even to the point where secular advertisers are employed to promote events. (Deception of "Love Evangelism")

J.John bases this on the principles of the Alpha Course. Principle 1: Evangelism is most effective through the local church. It mobilizes a whole army of evangelists and is friendship based.

The emphasis of Friendship Evangelism is based on Christianising culture, mixing in with it Carl Jung's model of Psychology. Jung was an occultist and [9] Swedenborg's irreverent disciple [10]. This rejects the biblical teaching on sin and desensitizing us to accept people no matter what state they are in because they just want to make "converts to Christianity." By just focusing on the good aspects of Salvation with out the conviction of sin. The truth is that people need to know the Bad news before they can know what the Good news is. They need to know the bad news, people need to know what they need to be delivered from, it can be uncomfortable, but needing to know the penalties for sin never was comfortable.

The view changes from the fundimentals of Scripture, rather than sinful practices it simply places it within the individual being as purely psycological, it's all in the mind. In a Bible centred scriptural view, the gospel exposes the nature of sin it self which causes offence.

Philo Trust and the Ecumenical Movement.

[11] Philo Trust state themselves they are ecumenical, "All that has begun to change as part of a year of mission under the Hope 08 banner and when J.John came to speak at a Leaders’ Day in April. Around 170 church leaders gathered in a completely unprecedented way at Newquay Christian Centre to be encouraged and re-envisioned. One minister commented that the day represented the biggest and most ecumenical gathering of leaders Cornwall has seen in living memory."

What does the Roman Catholic Church teach on Ecumenism? [12] Catechism 816 "The sole Church of Christ [is that] which our Savior, after his Resurrection, entrusted to Peter's pastoral care, commissioning him and the other apostles to extend and rule it. . . . This Church, constituted and organized as a society in the present world, subsists in (subsistit in) the Catholic Church, which is governed by the successor of Peter and by the bishops in communion with him."267

The Second Vatican Council's Decree on Ecumenism explains:

"For it is through Christ's Catholic Church alone, which is the universal help toward salvation, that the fullness of the means of salvation can be obtained. It was to the apostolic college alone, of which Peter is the head, that we believe that our Lord entrusted all the blessings of the New Covenant, in order to establish on earth the one Body of Christ into which all those should be fully incorporated who belong in any way to the People of God."268

Who is the Body of Christ ?

Catechism 868 The Church is catholic: she proclaims the fullness of the faith. She bears in herself and administers the totality of the means of salvation. She is sent out to all peoples. She speaks to all men. She encompasses all times. She is "missionary of her very nature" (AG 2).

Catechism 816 "The sole Church of Christ [is that] which our Savior, after his Resurrection, entrusted to Peter's pastoral care, commissioning him and the other apostles to extend and rule it. . . ((((In other words the Catholic Church is trying to bring protestants back to the catholic church, the catholic church is not interested in solely in Ecumenism, there have always been strings attached to it, they want Evangelical Protestants to be fully incorporated into the Roman Catholic Church and under the authority of the pope. Any one out side of the Catholic Church is considered to be outside of the Body of Christ.))))

Everything I have stated in here makes J.John an outright heretic and apostate.
