SEMPLICE School of Private Piano Studies teaches students from all over Greater Manchester and beyond. The school currently teaches students from Longsight,Hulme, Chorlton, Levenshulme, Reddish, Victoria Park and Diploma students from as far afield as Liverpool and Lymm.


SEMPLICE is run by Ruth Gardner. Ruth studied Music
at Clare College, Cambridge from 1995-98. Ruth then
studied Piano Accompaniment at the Royal Northern
College of Music under Carole Presland for two years.
During this time she was awarded the Stella Bradshaw Award for Accompaniment and the Allcard Award 2000 from the Worshipful Company of Musicians. In her final year there Ruth won the Clifton Helliwell Prize for Piano and was awarded their top Performance Diploma PPRNCM with Distinction.


As a Manchester Piano Teacher, Ruth is based in Longsight and conducts all her teaching from home. Ruth has a current CRB Disclosure. Ruth teaches any age from
beginner to Grade 8 Distinction (ABRSM) and beyond.
Ruth enjoys teaching pupils in a wide variety of styles
including jazz.
